Overall Advantage
Sand casting is perhaps the oldest and most commonly used type of metal forming in the marketplace today. It is capable of forming both large and small parts and can be used for a number of different materials.
We have green sand castings,resin sand castings and water glass sand castings in both ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
Perhaps the most common green sand castings are made from either grey iron or ductile iron. We can supply these castings from approximately 0.05kg to approximately 15,000 kg, with maximumdimensions of 5000 mm x2000 mm x 1500 mm. Molding methods range from floor hand molding, jolt squeezer lines and automatic molding lines. This variety of molding methods enables us to meet customers' weight, size and quantity requirements.
Steel sand castings are available in both water glass sand and resin sand processes, including plain carbon steel, alloy steel and stainless steel. For steel sand castings, the smallest available part is approximately 1 kg while the largest is approximately 20 metric tons.Steel castings smaller than 1kg are produced using investment casting (lost-wax casting) method.
Non-ferrous sand castings are also available. We use green sand molding for castings weighing from 0.1 kg to 100 kg. Available alloys include copper-based and aluminum-based alloys.
All first article samples come with initial layout drawings and material certifications from spectrometer analysis. Specialized inspection reports can be provided upon customer request.
We offer various secondary operations for all three types of sand castings, including shot blasting, heat treatment, machining, surface treatment, assembly services and custom packaging.
